| First off, omg, angus deluxe @ micky d's, delicious:

Second, A-FUCKING-MAZING:

Seriously, have you seen it? No? Go. Go now. Right now. So so good. I've been e-mailing Sarah, and she seems really excited and she's super sweet. I asked her what her favorite color is and went out and bought it and I'm painting one of my walls for her. It actually looks really nice and matches really well with my bright ass fuchsia. Went to the beach today. Not the brightest idea. It was REALLY hot and everyone came home burned, but I got Panera out of it so at the very least. Tomorrow Sookie will be getting spayed and she will stop being a raging slut. I have to get up super early so I can bathe her and beat rush hour, fml. I have no idea what I'm doing after, egh. August 13, Sarah turns 16. August 16, Sarah gets here. August 24, School starts.

| I swear Florida weather is the weirdest thing. It'll be pouring in one area and you drive maybe a minute in a different direction and it's completely drive. Peninsula weather, sheesh. Well, today my sister, my brother and I wanted to go to the beach, but of course it was pouring so we had to wait until it calmed down and then walked a bit and went to the area where the crandon park zoo used to be way back when until maybe like 1980 when it moved and became the miami metro zoo. It was nice. There were peacocks, geese, cranes and other random birds walking around, and all the old cages. I both hate and love looking at old places that are pretty much abandoned, or where you can see things that have been left from long ago. I love it cause it's really cool to think that it was completely different before, but it's sad cause it makes me remember I can't time travel and experience it for myself.

| I finished the host family application!
So, I just submitted the host family application, so excited. And, the host family orientation is on Sunday and we're buying the new bed this week! :)
I started looking at schools today, what I can afford, what schools offer what I want, etc. There are six schools I'm considering: Florida International University, Florida State University, Eckerd College, University of South Florida, St. Leo University and Stetson University. St. Leo, Eckerd and Stetson are a little bit too expensive. FIU, FSU and Eckerd are the only ones that offers everything I want.
Egh, I hate this stuff! | |

| I finally got home at around 11 this morning after spending 14 hours at the hospital watching my aunt with my sister. I was super tired, went to sleep and woke up around 5. It was a pretty ordinary day didn't really do anything. I did however go to a soccer game at FIU the other day. It was the Gold Cup between Costa Rica Vs. Canada and Jamaica Vs. El Salvador. I was also really tired that day so I was pretty miserable until halfway through the game. Pictures!

I've been super busy. I pretty much made myself start school early because I'm doing three online classes; Chinese I, AP Macroeconomics, and Global Studies. It's not so bad though, online classes are awesome. I can pretty much finish classes in a month if I sat here and worked all day. The only thing I'm dreading is working on my AP Calculus and AP English Literature summer homework, gross. I need to read How to Read Literature Like a Professor, A Thousand Splendid Suns and A Midsummer Night's Dream. I then need to write reading responses using certain chapters from How to Read Like a Prof. and also do one with a movie. Ugh, ugh, ugh. I still have a month, but hopefully I'll use it wisely since I also have a math packet to do. Anyways, I'm going to be helping PAWS for the CAUSE, LLC. It's a rescue that rescues pets from kill shelters and off the streets and helps them get a forever home. I'm meeting the lady that runs it tomorrow, because she's having an event at Dog Bar on Lincoln Road on Saturday where she's going to try to get two dogs adopted and she wants me to help with it. And, I leave you with me and my puppy :}

| I am so excited! I found out on Tuesday that my mom had talked to AFS and had agreed to hosting Sarah who I really wanted to stay with us. I replied to an e-mail that night saying we were very interested and to have her "taken off the market" lol.
Her name is Sarah Kunze. She is 16 and German. I had seen a few bios of students and out of all of them the only one I really liked was Sarah. The only thing with her is that she is allergic to e-freaking-verything. Soy, milk, egg, sesame, nuts, cat hair, horse hair, small animal hair, latex, house dust, pollen, and feathers. The only thing that I would think could cause a problem in the house is feathers, our couch is made entirely of feathers, house dust, although I think she'll be fine as long as she's not dusting, and latex. Gah.
Sarah's bio reads:
"Sarah cannot live without music. She sings in her school chorus, plays the drums, violin, and piano, and takes dance class to learn a variety of dances. Sarah is also very interested in the Spanish language and has participated in extracurricular Spanish classes to learn the language. Sarah is very excited to learn the local customs and cultures of her host family."
My family usually speaks Spanish around the house so watch her be super smart and be able to speak fluent Spanish in 3 months.
Right now we're working on our host family application to get approved. It's so long. There are like a hundred questions. We're about half-way done. I guess once we get approved they'll let Sarah know who we are. :)

| I am BEYOND exhausted. I slept probably a total of four or five hours while taking care of my aunt last night with my sister. We stayed up watching "True Blood" until 6:30 in the morn'. I've been dying to get her to watch it so we can talk about it. My whole night consisted of drinking about six cups of water and eating beef jerky, salt&vinegar chips, and hot cheetos. My stomach isn't a huge fan of me right now. We had gotten to my aunt's house around maybe 11 p.m after having gone to the park to watch the 4th of july fireworks with my mom and little brother. It was nice, really family-like and the fireworks were real pretty. We took some pictures, in which we all look like we're in the middle of sneeze.Except for one. *cue "aw"* I'm very excited, because my mom gave me permission to go to sleep over Ella's house on Saturday and then go with all the girls to Yasumicon on Sunday, and to the Harry Potter midnight premiere on July 15th. (Ella if you didn't get my text my mom said yes, lol) It's going to be an exciting two weeks :) - Mood:bouncy

| So I’ve started the whole application and whatnot process to go to Thailand with AFS for community service once I graduate. My dad was pretty okay with it when I first mentioned it, but my mom wasn’t too fond of the idea. I think she’s pretty much giving up being against it slowly, more than actually warming up to the idea. At least it’s something and I’ll take all I can get. I’ve also been looking for a job, but it’s hard to get hired when you have no past work experience. Hopefully someone will hire me soon, because I really need the money for Thailand. Even if I get financial help, I still have to pay like $900 dollars, and my family can’t even pay that. Aside from that, I’ll need money while I’m over there and if I only spend $100 a month that’s still like $600. *sigh* Apart from all the Thailand business, summer has been pretty uneventful. My mom doesn’t let me sleep in, she won’t let me stay up late, and she has me doing chores all day. It’s getting annoying, and I just wish I could have a nice summer vacation for once. The house won't fall apart if I skip a sweep here and there. On a lighter note I’ve started my online Chinese class, and I really like it. It’s nicely organized and the folder I made for it is amazing. I also picked up Fruits Basket again. I’ve forgotten how much I liked to read these things. I’m 3 books into my summer reading list and there’s only 13 more days until Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! - Mood:busy
